My apologies for not posting in a few weeks.  It has been pretty busy for me lately, with yard work and school.

My trip to Florida went very well.  We decided to leave on Saturday night at around 9pm because our daughter could not go with us, she woke up that morning with a fever and sore throat.  Took her to the doc and it was strep.  Her big brother took care of her for us so that I could help my parents.  He did a good job watching out for his sister.

We arrived in Florida at 11:30am Sunday.  Drove pretty much straight through, with exception of getting gas, having a pee and getting more coffee.  Mom had plenty of beer in the fridge when we got there so we drank up.  Mostly because we needed to wind down from our second burst of energy.  Got the truck unloaded, chowed on pizza and drank some more.  It was good to see my brother that lives about an hour from my parents new place, I hadn't seen him since 2000 or 2001.  My other two brothers, one from PA and the other from VA were there also.  It was like a quick little family reunion.  I was saddened by the fact that my kids weren't there though and I became a bit emotional.  Partly because I was exhausted, I think and the other part was because I just love to have them around.  I was feeling bad for not being at home with my daughter also.

Here is a group photo of my family.  From left to right:  My Neice Andrea, Brother Jeff, Brother Tim, Mom, Dad, Sis-in-Law Linda (kneeling), Me, Brother Scott, Nephew Josh, Husband Gary

I couldn't believe how much stuff my parents have.  UGH.  We got up the next morning and help unpack boxes.  Got the kitchen arranged first.  Needed my morning coffee, badly.  Anyhow, It was too quick of a trip.  I would like to have been able to spend more time at the beach.  The live about 20 minutes from the Beach, The Indian River separates them from the beach, so you have to drive along the river till you get to the bridge, take the bridge over and your at the beach… find a place to park and you are all set.  The beach was pretty secluded, not a touristy spot, it was very nice.  Lots and lots of seashells.  The water felt like it was probably 80 degrees.  Felt good.  We were only able to stay there for a couple of hours.  The weather was nice, humid of course, but nice.  And we made it home safely on Wednesday the 24th.
