4th of July and whatnot
This will probably be the most boring post ever!
So here I am a week later, just getting around to posting an update. I can’t really say that we did much over the past week. I went to a mean mommies meeting and had a really nice time. Unfortunately, I had to leave early and head to Lake Anna to stay with my son, his girlfriend and her parents. We had a really nice time at the lake. The house was beautiful. I am thinking that we need to rent a house on the lake, maybe not something quite to elaborate, but something that is just right for us. My son vacationed there for the entire week with the girlfriend and her family. He had a great time, with exception of getting stabbed in the hand by a catfish’s dorsal fin. Apparently it went about an inch into his hand. Ouch. My daughter headed down to the lake to stay with them on Tuesday - Thursday. I’m glad that she was able to go there and relax after the rough week she had previously with the death of her friend and the viewing and funeral. Things were pretty out of hand for a while there.
I worked on Monday, typical day and then Tuesday was my work from home day, which was perfect since Wednesday was a holiday. I spent the day on Tuesday reading and sitting outside, trying to get a little sun. It was a beautiful day, then went to the gym. On Independance Day, my husband and I pretty much just sat around and took it easy. We didn’t do much of anything noteworthy. We were going to go to the movies to see the Transformers, but he wasn’t feeling like going out, so we watched "The Departed" and then watched the neighbors shoot off their fireworks.
Back to work Thursday and then Friday was supposed to be a work from home day, but I had a meeting at 9am. After the meeting, I finshed off some things and then headed out at 11am. Went to the gym, had a good workout then drove around. Had the "T’ tops out so I didn’t really feel like going home. I found out my daughter was with one of her friends at the driving range, so I stopped off there to visit with them. I tried to take a few swings of the clubs but managed to do more damage than good and hung it up. Tiger Woods makes it look so easy. Later hubby and I went to the car dealership to look at a new’ish vehicle for my him. Then we went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, came home, and I went to bed because I was feeling really sick.
I am still feeling pretty sick at the moment. Not sure why. My daughter was feeling like this yesterday, so maybe it is some sort of bug. We don’t have much planned for the weekend, I’m glad because I really don’t feel like doing much. It’s way hot outside. Maybe we’ll just go hang out at the pool.

Hope you feel better! It’s wicked hot out, we got cooked yesterday so today i’m trying to not see daylight.

Thanks K. It sure was hot out. I don’t like 100, but I’ll take 90 with no humidity any day. Hope your hybernation was c.o.o.l.

heh, Knocking on wood that it stays “easy”. For a long time, it wasn’t. I’m going to enjoy it while I have it.

Hope you’re feeling better now! I hope your daughter is doing alright, and congrats to your son! I’ve finally been able to sneak on long enough to post a watered-down update of the past few weeks. Take care!

Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I’m feeling better, must have been a strange bug, because my husband was feeling out of sorts two days later. Nothing major, just strange. Daughter is doing ok. She has good days and bad. She went to the cemetary by herself to hang out with him yesterday morning. By the afternoon she was much better.
